The old ways(grendel members) « Thread Started on Jul 1, 2009, 5:29pm »
It had been Three months since the fall of the Dark Lord. Things were peaceful in the wizarding world. The leaves were turning a beautiful colors. It was close to the time that students were headed back to Hogwarts. It was a cold Dark night in the streets of Diagon Alley headed towards Knockturn Alley. There was gentle glow of pub lights in the distance. The darkness was suddenly broken by a flash of green light and the Gentle thump of something hitting the pavement. A dark figured casual walked out from a dark alley and leisurely made it way towards Knockturn allley.
The Figure happened to be the outline of Tanner Bancroft. He had Just finished another job as the leader of the new Group called the Grendel. Tanner smiled as he remembered the old ways fondly and realized this was so much easier. He just killed muggleborns and went to work. He opened the door to the pub that had been notorious for death eaters just three months prior. No one ever Expected the leader of another murderous gang to be working there. Tanner had switched jobs because people knew him to be an old death eater and to work Borgin and burkes would easily get him recognized. He waltzed up to the front counter and put on his apron. "What can I serve you Today?" he replied kindly to a group of wizards sitting at the counter. The event of earlier still going through his head. A big smile spread acrosss his face. "Three firewhiskeys coming up." Tanner Replied. He pulled out his wand and magically conjured three cups and started filling them.
This was going to be one fun day of work and nothing could ruin it. He heard the bell above the door ring. He turned around to see who the next customer would be that he would have to serve.

The cold night air hung above the sleepy town of London like a sheet. It was the sign of a rough winter ahead. The silence of the town was swallowed whole in the darkness, a figure, clad in black, looming within her shadowy depths. The silence was broken by a soft clacking as heals hit the damn pavement streets. The dark figure, moving swiftly through the night, almost feline in nature, continued toward the dark alley deep in the heart of London. The purpose of this creature to be out at this time of night no one knew, no one would want to know...
Upon entering Diagon Alley the figure of the night slowed it's pace slightly, moving to a slinking, almost floating walk down the dimly lit alley way. There were still a few people out at this hour, wizarding bars and pubs were still open and some people were on their way back from there, giggling and sloshing about with a friend or two, or even just themselves. A few shop keeps were still busy with paperwork, not given privy to the time of night, nor a care since the Dark Lord no longer loomed hauntingly in the distance. Everyone felt safe now, if they only knew...
The figure turned a corner swiftly, heading now toward an alley way with a great deal less light then the bubbly area of Diagon Alley. The lamp light was dim and tainted a sort of pale color, sickly, one would describe the shade. Not that the color of the lantern's futile light mattered much to the creature moving about catlike through the darkness. The clacking of the figure's shoes kept their pace and their sound, not bothering to be silent as it moved, it was not like the figure had anything to worry about now, not for three months had anything bad happened in the wizarding world.
Suddenly the clacking stopped, the figure finding it's destination in front of a door, the door to Ashwinder Inn. A rather scrupulous place, but it had it's purposes. A hand reached out to the door, turning the creaking knob with long agile fingers, strong and feminine, the hand turned the knob and pressed the door open. A bell sounded upon the woman's entrance into the pub. As the door closed behind her she slid her hood from her head, there was no need to hide her face here, it was pretty much pointless. Everyone already knew who she was.
Upon entering the... establishment... her eyes darted for the bartender, a man she knew, a man of once mediocre standing within the ranks of the Dark Lord's armada, now a leader, like she, of the most viciously powerful group known in history. Or at least, that was what they were to become. She nodded to him simply, her face retaining it's cold composure, like the night outside, she was harsh, but she was strong. She walked toward the bar, fancying herself a drink, she took a seat. Her eyes finding Tanners as she spoke. "Firewhiskey." her voice matching the chill of her eyes.

Tanner knew that cold demanding voice."Coming right up, Miss Nox." Tanner said cold to signify that nothing had changed for him since the dark one's downfall."We have one less filth to deal with." Tanner said cooly trying clue Miss Nox in on what he had done prior to coming to work today. He flicked his wand in his palm and two firewhiskey appeared next to the Ex-death eaters.
This was great talking to one of his own. Things had become so boring after the dark lord fell. Tanner went to work at ashwinder inn. When questioned about his dealing with dark lord he just denied it. Since he knew Occlumency it was impossible to tap into his mind to find the truth. He looked at Sawyer and wondered how the past three month had affected her. He was never really close to her but he some how felt he need to look out for his fellow member. Tanner wasn't there the night of the raid on the ministry. He stayed and fought buying cover for those of his cohorts who were trying to find the muggleborn registry.
He took his firewhiskey and took a swig of it. It wasn't professional of him to drink while on the job, but if anything his time with death eaters taught is that you don't always go by the book. "So what brings a lady such as yourself to my neck of the alley?" Tanner questioned wishing he was to see more of his fellow Grendel members.

The door almost flew from its hinges as Freddie strode in, the wind playing with the wood like a ragdoll, throwing it in every direction possible. Not many, in fact. Frederick had just finished up at the Ministry a little later than he had expected; some problem with a werewolf and a flower pot, or something along those lines. Freddie had used his initiative in the end and delegated the job to some junior or the other, deeming the job to be a waste of his own valuable time. Let someone else deal with such novice issues – Freddie was supposed to keep watch over his team, not go on a chase after some rabid animal. It just wasn’t proper, not now he had advanced so far in the Ministry.
The warm inn was a welcome relief from the outside chilly air, causing Frederick to swing off his cloak as he approached the bar, sitting down on one of the numerous stools available to him. This was the right place, surely? It didn’t look like much, that was true, but Freddie supposed that was the whole point. The Grendel wouldn’t exactly want banners flying and whistles blowing while their members got together. Freddie had only received word of him being there the night before; he wasn’t deeply involved with the group, his membership in this new group being the odd job when they needed him and any financial and political aid that might be welcomed. It was through Tanner Bancroft that he had been included in this; as long as it helped regain a sense of stability in the ever changing wizarding world, then all was fine by Frederick. Well, as long as he had a say in that control anyway.
“Bartender!” he spoke grandly, slapping a hand full of galleons on the bar, curious eyes falling on him for a moment before darting away. It was expected of him to behave in such a manner – now they’d had their fill, no-one would bother him again tonight with any luck. Either that, or they’d recognise him and try to wheedle some business from this night – for the right price, Freddie would cast a blind eye over certain imported creatures coming into the country. Plausible deniability – as long as he was connected in no way to the deed and he got his money, that was all he needed to know. “Single Malt Whisky, and be hasty. There’s nothing quite like a day working to induce thirst in a man” at this his eyes fell on the woman seated next to him, and he inclined his head ever so slightly “or woman. Perhaps ‘persons’ would have been more accurate a noun?”. The chatter in the pub was enough to drown a good portion of his voice from the majority of people in the area, despite Freddie not being particularly caring of his own volume level. Frederick turned back to Bancroft, who he’d recognised from entering the pub and who now held his full attention. “I assume my presence was expected?” he asked, all playfulness and social grandeur gone from his voice now, only to be left with a serious, deap-pan exterior.

She nodded to Tanner sternly, her voice not coming from her lips, not needing to speak. She knew of what he spoke and needed not let him know, considering he made it rather obvious to her, so he didn't have reason to believe someone of her caliber would not understand what he meant. She merely lifted her glass and bent it to her lips, within seconds the warm bronze liquid had disappeared from the glass and was burning it's way down her throat, a sensation Sawyer found rather enjoyable. She let this show with a slight smirk, only the right side of her lips arching into their familiar curve and for but a moment, before the smirk was lost within her stone exterior once more.
She set the glass down swiftly and slid it silently to Tanner, her middle and index fingers pushing it across the wooden bar, her eyes never leaving his as her lips parted once more, her rich voice spilling like honey from within her, before her voice had a chance to warm, they froze, like ice, to the very soul of a person. The sensation much like the burn of firewhiskey. Hot and fiery as it escaped her, but chilling and cold only moments later. "Lady..." she began, a dark chuckle escaping her lips. "is far from what I am... but my reasons for being here are the same as any disreputable person in this room. A drink." She waved to her glass. "So... another." she said simply.
At the boisterous entrance of a one, Frederick Avery, Sawyer could not help but close her eyes and exude a soft and silent sigh. He really did know how to make an entrance, and by entrance, she meant disruption. When he spoke at her she didn't even bother looking at him, so much loudness was coming from this man it made her ears ache. Noise is something that is meant to annoy and bother and he had that talent in spades. She noticed from her peripheral vision that his attention was on Tanner now, this was not an issue with her, she preferred to be left to her own devices, when the time came they would discuss things, when the playful banter was buffed away.

Tanner watched as Sawyer pased her drink back over to Tanner picked it up and once again filled it with nice amber liquid."of course of everone here wants a drink. I wouldn't Expect you tto be an different." Tanner snickered. He was just handing her back her drink, when all of sudden a person walked in the door all loud and noisy. He honestly hoped it wasn't of his fellow Grendel members. He wanted to have private meeting and this wasn't going to be private very long if this guy was to draw attention to them. Tanner finally knew who it was when he called out to him as the bartender.
He watched as he came over and dropped several galleons on the table. Tanner gave him a small evil eye. He wasn't happy that Fredrick avery was so loud and boisterous. He pulled out his wand and waved it over a glass and it filled with single malt whiskey. He then handed it over to Fredrick.
Out of All The grendel members that Tanner knew, He liked Sawyer best. She understood the reason behind being quiet and slip about undetected. He listened as Fredrick mentioned his presence to be Expected. " Yes, well Freddie, Your presence was expected so is the other members.I jus t didn't expect so grand an enterance. " Tanner said soft enough for no one to eavesdrop, but loud enough for Sawyer to hear. " I was hoping to see a lot of you tonight. I have many things I wish to discuss." Tanner continued in a soft tone of voice that should he meant buisness now. He figured some people of the team might show up later. He hadn't sent out an official letter, but he hoped they would show up and apparently they were showing up.

Urgh, this was what he had always disliked about the Death Eater atmosphere as well – everything always had to be so cold, so dark, so utterly boring. He might have to work with them, but half the Grendel members Freddie had encountered so far needed a better personality, or perhaps just a personality to begin with. They were all the same – sharp tongued, distant and speaking only when necessary. It wasn’t as though Fredereick was a warm guy (heck, if he was nice he doubted the Grendel would have approached him at all) but at least he could bring a bit of life into a situation.
Besides, surely the other two weren’t completely blind to what he had just done? He’d appeared as was expected from him – young and recently made head of the Avery line and with a healthy inheritance sent his way, Frederick Avery was reputed for being obnoxious and more than a bit overbearing. If he’d arrived quiet and slinking in with his head down, that would surely have brought more suspicion upon the group than not.
"Yes, well Freddie, Your presence was expected so is the other members.I jus t didn't expect so grand an enterance.”
Frederick grinned broadly, lifting the glass to his mouth and taking a large mouthful of his drink. He gave a satisfied noise as he placed his glass down heavily on the countertop, throwing a wink at Tanner that was all too exaggerated to be taken seriously. The meeting hadn’t started yet. “I’m behaving myself, aren’t I?” he snapped back, a little annoyed to receive such a reprimand that a child would from an adult. Who was he to patronise Freddie? Still, Frederick quietened down a little at the silent request, hoping dearly that the rest would turn up soon and so Freddie could leave. Well, he’d most likely end up drinking himself into a stupor before the night was up, but that was neither here nor there. The point was, patience wasn’t a virtue Freddie held in great value. Frederick looked to his left again at the woman by his side – she looked young, too young to be involved with the Grendel Frederick thought, but kept it to himself. She must have her own reasons for being involved, if she was indeed part of their group? “Does my presence make a total of three to our party, Bancroft?” he asked, turning back to the counter. How many were expected anyway?

Tanner snickered at Fredddie's comment about behaving himself. He may be the son of death eater he probably didn't realize the significance behind the grendel being a secret organization. He knew it was dangerous for them to get together, especially with the dark lord dead. The Aurors were out looking anyone connected to the death eaters, which was Tanner was alittle nervous about Today's unplanned gathering. Tanner took a swig of his amber liquid. It was the same familiar taste he was accustomed to. Tanner looked at Fredrick, He was stunned that he would as such a question. Wasn't he aware of the presence of Miss Nox.
"Yes Avery, your the third member to join our little party. Its unknown how many of us will join us tonight because there wasn't an official call to come here. It just happened by sheer luck that you both showed." Tanner said proudly. He liked the unplanned stuff. It sucked when the dark one was alive to attend meetings. Tanner could have been in the middle of the pleasant task of torturing a muggleborn, then to be whisked away by the call of a meeting. Tanner pulled out his wand and pointed it at the patrons behind his group. He then cast a muffliato spell at the few few patrons who were in the bar that night. " There now that we are less likely to be disturbed, we can talk openly. Now as You both know the dark one fell about maybe three months ago and that we are his remaining follwers. I know that one of you wasn't there at the the castle, the day the dark one fell, and for good reason. I want to know how goes the objectives of our little group has.' Tanner asked cooly. He practically knew that they couldn't do too much with their objectives, because that would raise suspicsion on them. He just wanted to know that they have recruited some new members. He figued Freddie wouldn't have done much seeing as only Tanner and Miss Sawyer were were some of leaders in this group, but Freddie was nothing more than a loyal follower.

Perhaps he could seduce one of the Aurors that were surely hidden in the Ashwinder Inn. Another dull week had passed him by and he was hoping perhaps tonight would liven things up, though not much could be said for livening any situation up when he was in it. Notorious for being the one guy at the party that everyone tried to get away from, he expected to die before finding anyone who actually enjoyed listening to the meaningless drivel that came out of his lines. It was for this reason, this disbelief that he would find someone worthy of bearing his presence that he had become well used to the quick finality of one-night stands, and ultimately, loneliness. Tonight however, he had a hankering for a decent, and sufficiently scummy, glass of liquor. No muggle bar could serve it up as gritty as the Ashwinder Inn could. Or maybe it was the presence of so many other dark, and most likely, boring, minds that kept him from slipping into bed at the healthy hour of nine at night like all the other unsuccessful lonely souls out there. It didn't help that he hadn't had a good kill since the Dark Lord had passed. If the term "passed" could be attributed to such a being. Aside from his one mission shortly before the Death Eaters had faded into nothingness, it had been an empty four months for him. Thus when he had heard tale of Nox leading a new group, Wilkie had been quick to jump on the train. Yet, he still had not received an order from them.
These musings found him at the door to the Ashwinder Inn, and he hastily pushed the door wide. Once again he found himself in the familiar atmosphere of such overwhelming darkness that it was a surprise no one was up and killing themself on the spot. Wilkie started towards the bar, surveying the possible Aurors and keeping an eye out for who he could possible convince to come home with him when he caught sight of a familiar form. Immediately he changed course, brushing his hand lightly over the shoulders of the partner of his old mission. Wilkie smirked and sat between Sawyer and, to his disgust, Tanner, across from a new face. He shifted uncomfortably, pulling at his tight black pants and threw an arm over the back of the chair. In his short-sleeved, moss-green v-neck, the Dark Mark was positively beaming at everyone around the table. Wilkie too, grinned. How convenient, stumbling upon a little meeting like this one, and with Sawyer attending, nonetheless.
For a minute he just stared at them, but his curiosity got the better of him and he turned to Sawyer expectantly. "No ruffles for me today, love," he sneered, referring to a previous encounter. "Are you going to clue me in or what?" Here a short, almost hostile glance was sent in Tanner's direction, though it was tinged with a hint of jealousy. He paid little attention to the man across from him who he hadn't seen attending any Death Eater meetings in the past. Wilkie waited patiently, casting quick shallow glances in Tanner's direction should the man try anything. That had been one relationship he had truly regretted. They should have kept it purely professional, for Wilkie did enjoy working with the man, but anything more than that was too much. Sawyer on the other hand, though, well, he could do both with her, he was sure. Wilkie smirked again and let his gaze wander to the man across from him. How efficient was this one when it came to killing?

Tanner was just about to continue speaking and wait to see what the others had to report. When all of a sudden he had the familiar sound of the door opening and the bell above it ring. Tanner stole a quickly glance before giving a small glare and returning to the task at hand. The person that had entered Was wilkie Tycross, the past object of his desire, True Tanner still had a small feelings for the handsome young man. Tanner's feelings for the man deminished when Wilkie suddenly decided to end their breif relationship. Tanner had known it wouldn't truly last but, it didn't change the fact that tanner at the time was love struck and Wilkie was his first official relationship. Tanner to this day regretted ever getting involved with him. After the dark one's surprising demise Tanner wouldn't have been surprised if Wlkie had died in the fight, in fact Tanner had secretly wished wilkie had, or that he the auror would of handed him over to dementors.
"I'm sure, Miss Nox here is adequate enough to fill you in on the current situation. As for me i have nothing to say." Tanner retorted hotly towards wilkie. Tanner wasn't going to kill a member of the team even though his insides told him to curse wilkie and be done with it. "So as i said earlier how the plans for wizarding purification?" Tanner saod trying to ingore the presence of Wilkie.

The drink slid into her hands and she nodded simply, no need to thank him, she'd pay the tab at the end of the evening. Sawyer was not having a good time at this, the indifferent banter from the two gentlemen she was sitting with was getting rather tiring. This Frederick Avery, whom she knew very little of, but would certainly find out the key points needed later on this evening, when she left this little... party. She inwardly scoffed, this was tiresome, she could be doing other things, instead she was sitting in a rotten bar with two men who were just speaking with one another like nothing was going to happen. She understood then need for secrecy and things of that nature, but conversation was made for bloody conversation, to discuss things at hand. Sawyer was no lover of small talk.
Sawyer took a swig of her drink, taking it slowly this time as to not drink herself into oblivion this evening. She could very well do that at home, in her manor, where no one would see what went on behind the mask. She still did not look to Avery when she felt his stare, he was more than likely wondering what the bloody hell a girl like her was doing in a place like this. That very fact is what kept Sawyer out of the eye of many for so long, a talent she enjoyed and used when she needed to. She was only 20 years old. Just turned at that. But she was one of the very few female Death Eaters in the Dark Lord's armada. Now, she was a leader of the Grendel, having been one of the few to infiltrate the Ministry, the very list of muggle borns securely in her hands as she left that night.
It was indeed time for Sawyer to speak, though she was not much in the mood for talking, she was the member that Tanner was speaking of. She didn't look up from her drink as she spoke, her tone subtle, even though no one could really hear them, she was still speaking softly, though her tone held a certain authority to it, a certain demeanor that showed those around her whom she was and what she was. It was the type of tone that people would be wise to listen to, or feel the wrath of a very skilled wand hand. "Lack of presence, is only a state of mind. Though I was not at the battle, I believe our group shall win the war. In the possession of a certain member, is the entire list of mud blood children in London and the surrounding areas. A great list it is, though the task we seek to fulfill must not be taken lightly." she paused, hearing something.
She closed her eyes when she felt the touch of a familiar hand on her shoulder, sliding along it before his body came into view. Ki... she had not expected him here, though she should have known to be honest. He was the type to find someone wherever he could to get whatever he needed and or wanted from them. It nearly made her blood boil. Something she didn't like about the man, he was... inadvertently, causing her to react. He had the ability to make her heated, in turn, proving he was underneath her rough exterior. Though she was not one to show it and didn't show it to him, she was still aggrieved that it had happened in the first place. She sat there until she heard him speak. She turned to him, the first sign of any real movement in her part this entire evening. Her eyes scanned his attire quickly, not lingering.
She then turned back to her glass and took another swig before speaking to him. "Well, I am not sure it could be called an improvement, though your ruffles were not my choosing, nor was your involvement. If you wish to take it up with my father I'd be happy to point you to him in the afterlife." with her words came a slight smirk, dark and twisted as it was, it accented her lips nicely, her cheek arching at the subtle curvature of her lips in that instant, the smirk evening reaching her eyes, a slight flash of color could be seen within their topaz hue... if indeed someone had been looking. This gesture was undoubtedly one of the few people would ever see of it's kind, because for a single moment the indifferent exterior was gone and Sawyer too, had a hint of something else within her. She couldn't resist the short blow at Ki.
When the moment was gone she took another swig of her drink, sliding her glass elegantly to Tanner once more, her hand resting on the counter as she waited for a refill. She nodded softly before continuing with what she was speaking of moments prior. Ki would get the gist of the information she had said before because there was not much he had missed, so she didn't bother repeating herself. "This list of names will be the main source of this group's work. Deviating from the list is not something of great importance as we all know that one can not survive on murder and torture of only mud bloods alone. But, when the time comes to... eradicate, the name on the list. You shall do so in a timely manner and report back to the name of the person who gave you the hit." She leaned back ever so slightly, her eyes looking around the small gathering.
She licked her teeth behind her lips before speaking once more. "This is only a small gathering of those in this cause, the others who do not attend this evening will be visited by a leader and told of what they are to do. There will be no dramatic battles with little boys, no year long wars with those whom don't much matter. It is as simple as this. Eradicate. And do it quickly." She ran her fingers through her long caramel hair before leaning forward once more and speaking to the group. "You may not receive an order for some time, it could be months. We have people on the inside..." she allowed her gaze to slide to Ki for a split second before turning back to the entirety, he was in the school, but she was not only speaking of him. She actually... just wanted to look at him. To see if he was listening, or so she told herself.
"Because of what we do, because of our purpose, we can not afford to lose members, to lose sight, of what we are doing by getting caught. So we shall take our time in what we do and when the time comes to move with haste, we shall do so. This organization is about timing, because I, along with the other leaders, do not intend on any of our members being locked in Azkaban, or caught by the ministry. We are not out to make a show, this is not the theater. We are out to do what me must and do it right. There is no room for error..." She finished calmly, leaning back in her chair and looking slowly from one member to the other, she would answer needed question or elaborate if needed, but what she had said was pretty straight forward, so she doubted there would be misunderstanding.

Frederick looked mournfully across the room, wishing just for a moment that he was in the company of people a little livelier than the current party. Freddie was used to the socialising that came with being raised as a true Pureblood – even his small playgroup as a child was set up in order for the next generation of pureblood families to become familiar with one another, to continue the alliances that would often mean the difference between life and death when caught between a rock and a hard place. Those connections could often be just the lifeline needed. Freddie knew that was one if the reasons Tanner had sought him out; the Avery family fortune had dwindled in the last few generations, but their political power and the influence they had among other families worthy of noting was still as strong as it always had been, if not stronger than ever.
That had been one of the reasons anyway. That and Frederick Avery’s reputation for his sympathies toward Pureblood supremacy, a reputation that the aurors couldn’t pin to any actual actions he may or may not have taken. Freddie just thanked his good sense that he had never taken the Dark Mark – it was one thing to outwardly support a cause, another to implicate yourself so obviously. His father had been a notorious Death Eater, and perhaps it was that which had saved Freddie. He had seen first hand how a deeply fanatical view could be turned against you – not only was Frederick more liberal when it came to Muggles, but he was most defiantly set against becoming a slave for any future Dark Lord Wannabe that might come along.
Dark brown eyes alighted in interest though during the banter between his (apparent) superiors. Freddie was no fool, despite outward appearance all pointing in that direction - he was also quite capable of reading expressions; it was a skill needed in his society circle, where people so often would attempt to keep their true feelings hidden because they were such tough, big wizards who saw emotions as weak. To Freddie they were all just a messed up bunch of children who didn’t like being told ‘no’ by their mummy. Much more fun to toy about with. Still, Frederick would have to keep an eye on the three sat beside him. He had agreed to join this little Cub Scout group for his own personal interests, but if tensions between the Mothers began affecting working conditions…Freddie would have no qualms about pulling out, and taking a fair few members with him for the ride.
The woman next to him. She’d been talking for a while now about their aims, goals, dreams etc etc. It seemed she was in the know, and in a world where knowledge meant power…she must be one of the top dogs. Freddie had no trouble with a woman being in charge – that had been one of the Death Eaters weaknesses, underestimating the value of their female members. She did seem…young though, and that might be a cause for concern. She seemed to know what she was talking about so far though, so Freddie would give her his support for now. “Just to make absolute certain” his voice spoke up, seeming so loud after her quiet tones. Freddie continued in a lower tone, suddenly so very aware of the sound of his voice. “I want to make sure that there wont be anything to implicate the members of this little…cause. No marks, no uniforms” the playfulness had gone from his voice now, and here was the final reason for his recruitment. Freddie was the social ministry man, but when the curtains were closed and there was no act to put on, it was then his true use came into full view; Frederick Avery was a skilled wizard. He could kill – quickly, neatly and most importantly, he could kill quietly. The theatrics Freddie enjoyed in public were such a stark contrast to how he performed when working. He was like a different person. “Tanner assured me this organisation would operate in the shadows. I want it known that if it goes public, then I’m out”

Tanner smirked when Sawyer commented on Wilkies attire and ruffles comment. He secretly hoped she would get rid of him though he didn't outwardly show it. He then Listened intently as She went on to explain the groups mission and objectives. Tanner thought he couldn't have explained it more clearly. He nodded his head a few times to show his agreement. He then picked up Sawyer's glass and refilled it once again. He then passed the liquid back to miss Nox. It seemed to Tanner that the four of them would bethe only one's attending tonight. It didn't matter to him. The rest of the group would be informed and would wait for instruction like the others. Tanner didn't expect Avery to speak up and ask the question he did. He rolled his eyes apparently annoyed that the subject had come up when he believed that sawyer had covered that topic.
Tanner quickly turned to address the question. " If i may cover this one Miss. Nox, Yes Avery we will be working in the shadows. There will be no uniforms or dark marks or anything of that sort. The only true thing we will have is a small icy burn on our victims in the shape of a dragon. It'll be tiny though. I believe this is so should another member come across your victims they will know that a fellow grendel was there." Tanner said cooly.
He hoped he had explained that clear enough to where everyone would understand. Tanner had previously that killed a muggleborn had just happened to run into. He truly hadn't planned on murder today. Tanner thoughts went back to that event and it made him smile evily. This thought was the only thing that was to get him through this dull meeting.
Tanner looked around to see if anyone need his attention at the moment. He noticed that the only remaining people in the bar was their little group. Tanner waved his wand and summoned the money that layed on the tables. He then placed it into the cash register. "As Nox pointed out earlier there can be no room for mistakes. One mistake could mean the difference between our organization going public or not. It could also earn some of us a one way trip to azkaban. We will simply not tolerate mistakes and will deal with those who make them correctly." Tanner said clearly so there would hopefully be no confusion.
