After the tragic death of Albus Dumbledore, it seemed that the wizarding world was doomed to be conquered by Voldemort. In Britain, things immediately got worse. Two weeks after Dumbledore’s death, Rufus Scrimgeour and other key members of the ministry of magic were killed by Death Eaters, throwing the wizarding world into turmoil.

Almost immediately after the school emptied, Voldemort attempted to sneak inside the castle. Because Dumbledore’s enchantments held strong, He could not gain entry to the grounds. He was met at the gate by a stern-faced Minerva McGonagall, who told him, in no uncertain terms, that his doom was coming… for she knew of the horcruxes, and Harry’s mission to destroy them.

On August 1, Voldemort launched a horrible attack on crowded Diagon Alley. He had the dementors, his death eaters, and a legion of trolls and inferi at his command. The battle raged for three days, and the price was steep: in addition to the deaths of 371 civilians, Kingsley Shacklebolt, Nymphadora Tonks and Alastor “Mad-Eye” Moody, who were on-scene before the aurors showed, were killed. They were soon after buried with honor in the back garden of #12 Grimmauld Place.

Unlike the summer of his fifth year, Harry was up-to-date with everything that happened, and he’s even more driven to find the horcruxes. Despite his intentions to not return to Hogwarts, Harry was persuaded by Lupin and McGonagall to return and finish his education.

Now, Harry’s final year at Hogwarts begins… what is in store?

Not only would it probably make her lose her nerve with an ex-professor, and one of DADA no less, watching her, she didn't want him to see her fear. Few people knew what Libby's boggart turned into, and frankly, she preferred it that way. She got scared just thinking about facing a boggart, let alone actually having to do it. No, that was one thing she didn't wish to practise while she was here. Once a term was more than enough. And then, only when necessary.

Trying to cool her cheeks down after her outburst, Libby nodded, glad that it seemed as though the storm outside was easing up a little. It wasn't easy to tell, what with all the bangs from the boggart upstairs, but she thought that the crashes of thunder, which had made her jump violently in the beginning, were getting more distant (or perhaps she was just getting more used to them?), and the flashes of lightening seemed to be more intermittent and less regular. As she re-entered the room where they'd been sitting, she paused for a moment before resuming her seat, peering out the window to see if she could see if the rain was easing up too.

She'd just sat down when another crash of thunder echoed through the building, making her jump again, as she'd just been thinking about how they were easing up. Yawning, she hugged her knees to her chest and sighed, wishing she was at school. "I think c-coming out t-tonight was a r-rather silly thing t-to d-do," she said musingly, more to herself than to Lupin; it was true, after all. She should just have stayed in her dorm room and come in the light of day - and on a day when there wasn't going to be a thunderstorm trapping her here for goodness knew how long. Because now, it seemed like she was stuck until the storm eased.
