To their utter surprise, both Wher candidates stepped up at the same time. Blaine walked confidently beside her brother, who was no longer afraid of his sister's silent wrath. The two stepped up to Deryn, and Blaine smiled. Cain, too, put on a smile, since his sister didn't seem to be mad at him anymore.

Was there reason for them to be afraid? Besides Cain wanting Blaine to forgive him, no. So, instead of being afraid, the two nodded to Deryn. Cain went so far as to bow again. Then Blaine asked, "What do we do now, Lady Deryn?"

”I understand that Cohullin! But how am I supposed to apologize or try to make things better with you if I’m not allowed to talk to you?? If you just walk away every time you get angry and don’t tell me that I’ve hurt you I can’t make things any better!” This was a valid point wasn’t it? She didn’t know what else to say or do to get him to see her side of the argument. But she wasn’t going to back down. If he was going to be stubborn then she was going to be too. She took a few steps toward him and got in his face. Sarah glared coldly, getting quite angry herself which was pretty rare for Squirt.

“All I’m asking you is to be more careful and think before you do something. If you need help and people won’t leave you alone then tell me…don’t leave me in the dark. You’re saying that this happened because people are now your enemies. That’s news to me because I thought it was just an accident. You’re really scaring me here Cohullin, you could really be in danger and you’re not even worried. You must be the bravest man alive to not be scared in the least. I know I’d be pooping my pants if I were you. I guess it’s a guy thing.” She shook her head and allowed just a bit of a smile and looked at his feet, an awkward place to look, but hey it was there.

Now he was going on again with his guilt trip again. She was going to have to get it into his head that she REALLY hated when he did that. Looking up to him again she glared and then rolled her eyes and kissed him. She held it for quite a while because frankly, she thought it was the only way to shut the boy up, though it did not lack compassion like the last kiss did. But honestly she just really wanted him to shut up and be a goofball again. She wasn’t doing well with the fighting thing. “I don’t think you’ve really changed that much. It’s just different now that you’ve stated that you’re scared and since you went into a coma. It’s so hard to be so lighthearted now…now that something like that has happened and you almost died. Please just understand where I’m coming from here. If you had died or something I don’t know what I’d do with myself.”

She gave up talking after her little speech and just leaned against him. If he didn’t want to talk to her anymore after this then she’d deal with that. If he pushed her away right now and told her to go to hell…well…she’d live with that if that was what he wanted. Sarah had screwed up majorly and now she had to deal with the consequences of her actions. But for the time being, she just had to be near him like before they had the argument. She snaked her arms around him and tucked her hands into his pockets and closed her eyes, listening to the thump, thump, of his heart for the few seconds that it was quiet. Now it was his turn to be the judge of what would happen next.[/i][/size]

The Hogwarts grounds were more than their usual eerie quiet that evening. For whatever reason, it was almost like a large muffling blanket had settled, silencing everything it touched and deeming it to a quiet slumber for the night. The silence was almost comforting in an eerie sort of way, only slowly being added to by the mist that blocked much from view, seeming odd as the pale beams of moonlight danced in and out of the smoky curls that shrouded most everything in mystery. Twirling in and out of the massive trunks of the Forbidden forest it went, and it was almost as though it were glowing in itself, to light the way, but to where Remus wasn't entirely sure. The fog's dim light, however, was close to the only thing keeping him awake at this point in time, but the soft chill from it helped as well. What had brought this was close to impossible to tell, but it was welcome. Not often did something like this happen, really, and it was almost worth having to pace the edge of the forest, nervously glancing at the large castle from time to time in order to watch.

Deeper along the forest edge he went, the thicker and more tangled the branches seemed to grow from the massive trees, appearing to want to grab hold of anything they could get in their reach. To suck it in and hold it there forever. It was no wonder the students had told so many stories about it, apart from the simple part t was forbidden, it's images and occupants became more and more distorted as the sun floated its way across the sky. It was a fear of the unknown, something many held; it was the thing that fueled all other things frightening. It was unknown, unfamiliar territory.

A soft sigh as Remus paused to rest against one of the black trunks of the trees, dimmed amber eyes watching the layout of territory spanning in front of him. It was rather too dark to see any further, there was no telling how thick it would be and too risky to light a wand. Well, time for a different tactic; there wasn't much else that could be done about it. Turning and following along a fairly fresh path, the werewolf followed it to the forest's edge where it panned out to the rest of the grounds. The mist had only thickened slightly in this area, and he was grateful for his knowledge of the grounds - something the map never did seem to take out, even when giving it back to Harry. Though it'd been several years since last glancing at it, the Marauders map had seemed to stick into his mind in places. Who knew? It could come in handy someday.

Taking the edge of the grounds at a slow pace, he only stopped every so often to catch his breath. The moon had always had an everlasting effect, and as it gained it's roundness in the sky, it loved at poking at him, tonight just happened to be energy reserve. That, and not sleeping, but, there was always time for that later.

Finally he halted as the sound of a faint creaking reached his sensitive ears - the Whomping Willow. Not only did it signal danger to find in only moonlight, but it was also the edge of the Hogwarts' grounds. Turning course away from the tree, it was then his line of vision had picked something else up, which, at first, made him grip his wand slightly tighter, the mist was making it harder to see anything. Quietly stepping up behind the smaller figure, it took him until he was a few feet away from her before he recognized it as none other than Nymphadora Tonks, the only woman he'd dare allow into his life since.. well, since he was about fourteen or so in truth. All the convincing it had taken, was it really worth it? Despite the fact his heart had skipped at least two separate beats upon recognition, it came at a price at a faint guilt, one she refused to believe in. Swallowing it for a later time, he took a few more quiet steps towards her and was unable to help smiling faintly at her seemingly dreamlike state.

Regret as he may, there was little denying that Tonks had brought at least some enjoyment into his life, and he watched the moving shapes out of the mist she seemed to be gazing at as well. "See anything interesting?" He questioned her softly, still looking at the stretch of mist she seemed so keen on.
