Plot:
There is no victory without a price to be paid, not even innocence is free. During the time of the Second War against Voldemort there were those whose price was their own lives. Others paid their tolls by losing a friend, family member, or loved one. However, what about the ones who paid their one soul? Allegiances have shifted and everyone seems to have a hidden agenda. Family members have turned against one another; friends alike. It was as if you went to bed having a best friend. When you woke up, they were your mortal enemy.
When the survivors of the bloodbath returned to their families, they seemed...Changed. Something was obviously wrong, but would anyone dare assume anything horrible about the ones who'd fought for freedom? They'd achieved their goal, but was it worth a loss so great that it had stripped people of their former selves? If love is pain, then there is plenty of it. A fourty-five year old Rosalyn Harper is asked to take the position of Head Mistress at the school she'd attended for the most difficult part of her life, after Professor McGonnagall has passed on, and she accepts graciously. Tabloids such as 'The Daily Prophet', 'The Quibbler' and new papers one by the name of 'The Acerbus' have raved about this.
Now, it is the year 2018, seven years after Madame Harper has taken over the school. So far, there's been peace in the Wizarding World for Twenty years. The reign of evil was over. Freedom was won! However, twenty years later, after the dreadful, blood bath war, disappearances start to happen, again. A light wave of panic carries throughout the Wizarding World, but is reassured as the Minister claims that everything is alright. Tempers start to rise, between the Minister and the Headmistress of Hogwarts, and the papers have no problem in printing it. Snide remarks are passed back and forth, the Headmistress smiting the Minister for being so blind. She's one of the few people who believe that something really is wrong.
With Summer drawing to a close, realization begins to grip the Wizarding Nations--as seven bodies are found disembled in the Hogshead. The bodies were so disembled that not even St. Mungo's could say who they were, or even . . . . what happened to them. What will happen with the Wizarding Nation now? Will Darkness, this time, truly veil the Light? Will you be able to stay out of the dark side, or will you let your Eternal Light turn to ice? The Lines of Magic have been drawn, it is your decision to decide--which side will you be on?
