We all love and we all hate math at times. I am about to propose some math that is absolutely brilliant, mostly in the light of Hallows and Horcruxes.
10 times 10. Everyone knows it equals 100, right? Let me put this into context for you.
Imagine that 10 people post 10 times, that's 100 posts, right? How about advertisements? If 10 people post 10 ads on different sites, then in a week, H&H will have 100 ads posted for it. I'm not sure how many people know it, but most of our traffic comes from ads on other sites.
So, we get 100 ads a week, or 400 ads a month. A year that's 4800 ads posted on different sites. That's a lot of ads.
Increase that number; 20 different people advertise 10 sites, that's 200 ads a week, 800 ads a month, 10,400 ads a year. If 10 people advertise 20 sites, the numbers are the same.
I propose a deal. What will need to happen is some serious linking, and some serious advertisers. I would like to give out points as an incentive to get people to advertise. The rules and a few suggestions are below.
1. Each account can advertise up to 10 times, each account had better link to every site that you've placed an advertisement to, to the thread you posted. This means you can participate with more than one account, but only the first 10 sites on each account will be counted. No links means no points.
2. For this, 15 points or 15 Sickles will be awarded to your account every week. At the end of each month these points will be added up and passed out. This can add up quite quickly, it would be 60 points in a month for every account. (See, math is fun!)
3. Advertise on more than Harry Potter sites! Sure, there are a lot of them, but it is inevitable that we'll run out eventually. Post on High School role plays, animal role plays, anime and dragon and fantasy and chat boards. Advertise anywhere that will allow you to as a guest. This isn't limited to just ProBoards sites, either, go nuts at InvisionFree as well, but keep in mind that their coding system is different than ours.
4. Respect the rules of other sites, especially their advertising rules. We don't like it when people break our rules, so behave and follow their rules.
5. If you have to join to post, don't. It's not worth it, trust me.
6. Be sure to check for our ad before you post on any site; sometimes the staff here or people in the mood to advertise for us have already advertised there. If you can bump the ad on the site, by all means, please do. But if it's locked, can't be replied to, don't worry, move on to another site. A bump counts as an ad, and you can link to it and have it count.
7. The best way to find a place to advertise is to do what I call 'chutes and ladders.' This is where you open a link on our site, and go to another site; we usually are supposed to advertise there in return to their ad here. Then, on their site, open a few links in their advertising section that look interesting, and open those sites. Post our ad on those sites, and open more links. I've posted hundreds of ads in a day just by this method; it's very easy to get lost in the ads. Keep track of your amount and your time. Also keep in mind that you can link back to more than ten if you have different accounts, points will be given to every account that links.
8. Please use the url code to post the links to the forums, since sometimes the links can get long. Add the name of the forum in the text area to help others who might also be linking back, to prevent confusion, and also to help me know where you advertised.

Yes, in order to gain the attention of people who pay attention to topsites, we should be at least on the front page. Most of the topsites we get into by a single click, but a few you have to click an extra link or two. Just hit the 'vote' button and that's it!
If you really want to help, clicking the link back to our site is also good (gets different numbers up), and, you could also rate and leave a review for the site. That, of course, is above and beyond the call of duty.
There won't be points given for voting to anyone in particular, but if our numbers start to go up, I might give out something special to the forum.
XD
And that's it! Do this and be a successful member of the H&H army. We need you to help us get more members by voting, and more members by voting for us!
Get to it!

The second and most fun part of being in the H&H army is... VOTING!
