Out with the old and in with the new! Now the year is 2008 and the wizarding world lives in relative peace. Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry has now been renamed Hogwarts School for Eccentrics. Eccentric... strange... the once familiar school certainly lives up to its new name. Casualties have been replaced, new leaders and new professors have been chosen as others have moved on to a new life.
Current Headmaster Exsanguis Torhment and Headmistress Promise Halliwell have opened the school to magical beings beyond simple witches and wizards – vampires, werewolves, fairies, elementalists. Despite an outcry of protests they have stuck to their philosophy that they all magical creatures deserve a chance to learn and develop their talents. But will this magical mix be able to exist in harmony... or will they rip each other apart? Can Hogwarts really be lead by a gentleman vampire and a lady seer?
Outside of this strange twist of fate, the Ministry is still the Ministry and life still goes on. Replacements are settling in and the tides are turning smoothly. Most accept this peaceful era and take it for what it is. Others still have doubt and questions in the back of their minds and criticize those who let their guards down. Could they be right? Is it too good to be true? Is this brave new world, this fresh start, merely an illusion?
Don't be fooled by the sunshine. There is danger lurking in the shadows. Some sinister force lurks, waiting for their new beginning… waiting to pick up their pieces and shatter ours. Will you be one of the ones shattered? Can you survive this brave new world?
