WHERE WE'RE AT
Forks Washington. Where our journey begins. It's been some months since the near death experience in Italy. The Cullens have resumed school and Edward has magically rearranged all his classes so that he and Bella can finish their senior year together. The Forks Community Hospital has welcomed Carlisle back with open arms. Alice spots no disasters in the immediate future and Rosalie is.. well, Rosalie and as pigheaded as always. Bella keeps insisting on Edward turning her, and just as stubbornly he refuses to. So what now? Well, one things for certain, you don’t waltz with the Volturi and think you can just walk away without a bow.
THE THREAT
Ah yes, the Volturi. Since the very beginning of their existence, no one has defied them and walked away unscathed. It’s no surprise that they aren’t used to being meddled with. The Cullens were given a choice, Isabella Swan must die one way or the other. A human who knows too much. Yet, the Volturi are growing impatient. Aro has never kept a secret of his love for collecting jewels. Now, we’re not talking diamonds and emeralds the size of your fist. No, his most prized possessions are the living ones. And he wants them. Edward, Bella and Alice. As with the other two Volturi leaders? Well, Marcus doesn't care, and that would be putting it nicely. Caius on the other hand, is a bit more impatient than Aro, and prefers that the Cullens be dealt with as quickly as possible - one way or the other.
THE SECRET INGREDIENT
In all secrecy a coven of vampires have gathered across the bay from Washington in the Canadian city of Victoria. They mostly consist of southern vampires who have not forgotten how the Volturi put an end to their fun in the south many year back, but also consists of the average vampires who are fed up with the Volturi's rule. Wether they are aware of the Cullens yet, is unknown, but it won't be long before they discover that a rather large coven of strong fighters reside permanently on just the other side of the bay. And as of yet, they have relatively effectively managed to keep their existence a secret as their strength builds, but it is only a matter of time before they show themselves.
WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN
The only visible signs of the rebels existence to the outside world is a slight rise in the sudden disappearances stack on the chief of police's desk in Victoria, but that's not really anything to be greatly concerned about. Something easily overlooked by humans who in their own little world just blame the local gangs for anything out of the ordinary. But it won't be long before the Cullens learn of this new coven's existence. Many questions will be asked, no answer certain. Will these rebels be strong enough to overthrow the Volturi's rule? What will happen to Bella and Edward? Is the red-headed Victoria still a threat? There's only one thing you can count on - this place is going down!
