YOUNG
Alderton, _____ Alleged Muggle-born accused of “stealing magic” and sent to Azkaban by the Muggle-born Registration Commission in the days when the Ministry was controlled by Death Eaters. Claimed to be the son of Arkie Alderton, a wizard.
Bagman, Otto Got into trouble with the Muggle Artifacts Office because of an unusual lawnmower, but Arthur Weasley straightened things out for him. Out of gratitude, Otto's brother Ludo then arranged the Weasleys' tickets to the Quidditch World Cup. Slightly older than a young adult, but not old enough to father kids Hogwarts age.
Barbary, Heathcote Plays rhythm guitar with the popular wizarding band The Weird Sisters. Older than 20, younger than 30.
Blenkinsop, Timothy Puddlemere United supporter who was 23 at the time of their 30 September 1999 match against the Holyhead Harpies and was caught in the ensuing riot. He still has a tail because of it.
Bletchley, Miles Slytherin, c. 1989 - 1996, Quidditch team Keeper. Hit Alicia Spinnet from behind with a jinx in the library prior to the autumn 1995 Gryffindor-Slytherin match, but Snape refused to believe the fourteen eyewitnesses. Since Bletchley was at least a second year when Harry started at Hogwarts, and since he was still at Hogwarts in the 1995 - 1996 school year, he must be either one or more likely two years older than Harry.
Bole, _____ Slytherin, 1989 - 1995, Quidditch Beater. Wizard who deliberately fouled Alicia Spinnet in the 1993-94 Gryffindor-Slytherin Quidditch final, hitting her with a club, then claiming he'd thought she was a Bludger. Then again, given the usual standard of Slytherin Beater brainpower, maybe it was an accident...
Brankovitch, Maximus, III Seeker for the Fitchburg Finches from Massachusetts, USA, who also captained the USA in several recent World Cups.
Campbell, Angus Replacement seeker for the Catapults, and very good at his job.

Crumb, Gideon Born 1975. Plays bagpipes with the popular wizarding band The Weird Sisters.
Davies, Roger Ravenclaw c. 1989 - 1996, Quidditch captain and Chaser. Roger Davies is a popular, athletic Ravenclaw student a year or two older than Harry. Roger went with Fleur Delacour to the Yule Ball; he appeared to be so besotted with her that he could barely think. He missed his mouth with his fork when he tried to eat and babbled stupidly in response to what she said. Later, he and Fleur spent some romantic time in the rose garden outside. Roger asked out Cho Chang in early February 1996, but she turned him down; Cho used the incident to try to make Harry jealous as they sat in Madam Puddifoot's with Roger and his current girlfriend sitting at an adjacent table, kissing and cuddling.
Derrick, _____ Slytherin 1988 - 1995, Quidditch Beater.
Dimitrov, _____ Bulgarian National Team Chaser.

Finch-Fletchley, Justin Hufflepuff 1991 - 1998. A member of Dumbledore's Army, this curly-haired Muggle-born wizard was down for the exclusive Muggle school Eton until he got the letter from Hogwarts (so it is quite likely that his parents are very wealthy). Justin was threatened by a snake at the Duelling Club until Harry called it off, thus publicly revealing his status as a Parselmouth. Justin was Petrified by the basilisk on December 18, 1992.
Finnigan, Seamus Gryffindor 1991 - 1998. Seamus is an Irish boy with sandy hair, he is a Half-blood: his father is a Muggle, and his mother didn't tell his dad that she was a witch until after they were married, which was a "bit of a nasty shock for him." The Sorting Hat took almost a whole minute to decide his house as Gryffindor. He's good friends with Dean Thomas. Seamus and Harry had quite a falling out on their first night back in fifth year, but eventually Seamus came around and joined Dumbledore's Army. He also fought in the Battle of Hogwarts on May 2, 1998.
Flint, Marcus Slytherin, 1986 - 1994 (repeated a year), Quidditch Chaser and captain. Harry thought he looked like he had troll blood. He wasn’t beyond a bit of cheating to win a match.

Though a number of girls spent the year fawning over him, Krum became interested in Hermione, who accompanied him to the Yule Ball and was the person he would “sorely miss,” held hostage in the second task. Despite his surly nature and Ron’s jealousy, Krum was always kind to Harry. Krum was still corresponding with Hermione a year after the Triwizard Tournament, although she appeared to have declined his invitation to visit during the summer of 1995. He saw Hermione and Harry again at Fleur Delacour’s wedding; there he took exception to the symbol of the Deathly Hallows that Xeno Lovegood was wearing, thinking it to be the symbol of Gellert Grindelwald.
Levski, ____ Bulgarian National Team Chaser for the 1994 World Cup.
Lynch, Aidan Irish National Quidditch Team Seeker for the 1994 World Cup.

Pye, Augustus Trainee Healer on the Dai Llewellyn Ward of St. Mungo's who tried to heal Arthur Weasley's snakebite in December 1995. He was very interested in "complementary medicine" (using Muggle techniques along with the magical approaches). He and Arthur decided to give stitches a try, but something in the wound kept dissolving them, so they didn't work. Molly was not impressed.
Quigley, Finbar Captain of and Beater for the Ballycastle Bats, possibly Irish National Team Beater also.

Towler, Kenneth Gryffindor, 1989 - 1996. A student who took his O.W.L.s at the same time as Fred and George, who developed boils as the test approached. Granted, the boils had a lot more to do with the Bulbadox Powder Fred had put in his pyjamas than with the stress of the test.

"Burly" Captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team when Harry arrived at Hogwarts, and possibly the most passionate Quidditch fanatic in the school. Oliver is known for giving particularly lengthy, impassioned locker room speeches, and gets quite depressed after losses. Fred Weasley once pointed out, fairly, that Wood might have “bumped off” the entire Slytherin Quidditch team, except that he wouldn’t have gotten away with it. After leaving Hogwarts, Oliver signed with Puddlemere United Reserve Team, summer 1994. Though he graduated two years before the inception of Dumbledore’s Army, Oliver did return to Hogwarts to fight in the final battle against Voldemort.

Oliver Wood considered her to be a superb Chaser, along with Angelina Johnson and Alicia Spinnet, who are a year older than Katie. Katie was placed under the Imperius Curse by Madam Rosmerta to carry a cursed opal necklace to someone at Hogwarts. The parcel broke open as she argued with her friend Leanne. When Katie touched the necklace her body levitated as she writhed in pain, and then collapsed; she had to be evacuated to St. Mungo's.

She seems to be able to appreciate the Firebolt as a first-class broomstick, and is serious enough about Quidditch to have bet Percy 10 Galleons on the 1993 - 1994 Gryffindor-Ravenclaw match.
Edgecombe, Marietta A friend of Cho Chang’s with curly, reddish-blonde hair, Marietta was dragged to D.A. meetings by Cho and signed her name to the parchment that listed members of the group. However, when she later betrayed the group to Umbridge, she discovered the parchment had been jinxed, and her face broke out in nasty pimples spelling the word “SNEAK”. Even months later, the pimples were still visible.

Though she’s a half-giant with the height to prove it, she publicly denies her ancestry and runs counter to all stereotypes of giants, as she dresses elegantly in silk and jewels, and is an excellent dancer. She breeds Abraxan horses. During her year at Hogwarts for the Triwizard Tournament, Madam Maxime became good friends with Rubeus Hagrid, and may have even shared his romantic interest in her, though whether her interest was genuine or a simple desire to get inside information on the Tournament was open to interpretation. Most likely, the truth fell somewhere in between. Despite her hesitations to admit her giant heritage, Maxime agreed to go with Hagrid as an envoy to the giants in the summer of 1995.
