So guys, I'm coming out of a really, really hard quarter at college. H&H has been on the slump for a while. I would really like to see everyone back here and posting again, or at least back here and talking with each other again. I was thinking, perhaps we should do a revamp. But, maybe we don't need to. Maybe we should only change some things. I would really like your input into what you think we should do for H&H. I am open to all ideas at this point.

Low activity is a vicious cycle. I would be on here more often if others were, I think. If things get started I'll join in. I think a lot of people are of that mindset. My suggestion would be to wrangle yourself your regulars back together (or get new self starters somehow?) and see about starting threads. I personally am more interested in in-character threads that would help to develop my character.
I'd love to see my little Wiccan Wizard develop some relationships at school. She's from the Muggle world but my goal is to have her submerge herself almost completely in the Wizarding World of London by the time she graduates. IE, she needs friends, a career, boyfriend characters (until she gets to a fiance/husband character eventually), etc. I might even want a couple of adult people to play mother/father figures.
I don't know what's going to happen but I personally would love to have H&H back and bouncing again. = -)

I must say that I've been feeling like every time I work hard on an application and finally get accepted(with the exception of my own sites), a while later the site dies. I know for my sites, most members are quite busy with school and real life, which obviously trumps online sites and such. I think it's just a busy time, and when people come back and see that not many people are signing on, they think the site is dead and since there would be nothing to do, they see no point in signing in.
I have faith that things can get up running again, you just need a handful of people who will get things going again so that people see the site isn't dead. Sites that don't have many people signed on in the last 24 hours aren't as appealing as one that's had a handful.

I would recommend that if you have a second or even third account, to log in. When I was deleting older members I saw a lot of current member's second accounts on the inactive list.

Revamp. We need something major to bring this site back. =/ And I don't have much of an input at this point because my mind is mush. I wish I could help more with my opinion. But, uhm. I'll edit and/or respond to this as I come up with ideas. But in the meantime, we need a new skin. Which, after reading the cbox, is already being worked on. The old members that are inactive have been deleted, etc. So, yeah. =)
But, yeah, we definitely need a revamp.

Revamp, please. <3
I'm having a tough time with schoolwork and all - my activity can't be as high as it was back in grade eight or so. :\ High school is a bit of a shock, to be honest.
However, I do love H&&H and really do want it to be back. I can't promise I'll be on every day and posting, because as I said before, I'm having a tough semester. I'll try my very best though.
As for ideas for the revamp... I'm not really sure whether I've got anything good to suggest. I find that when revamping, it's usually the cleaning out that really does the trick.
Maybe an advertising team or something would help us get new members? People brush it off and assume it's a staff member's responsibility, but it really is a member's responsibility as well. I've found that members who regularly help out with advertising and such are more involved with the forum in other aspects.
That's about all I've got now, but I'll edit if I think of anything else. <3

I don't think we need a revamp. we just recently finished one and i think it would be hectic to have to do another one. besides i love the grendel idea. But seeing as i'm currently the only grendel leader available at the moment. it difficult to get them up and going alone. I would really love to see where they take the grendel idea. that's just my personal opinion

I agree with Tanner. I don't think this place needs a complete make over, we really did JUST have one. But I think maybe a new skin or something, just to show people we're trying to get stuff up and going, will do some good.
Maybe after we get a few more people coming on regularly we can start advertising more. I'll help with that, too, though I agree it should be a site-wide thing and not just the staff members.
I have two jobs right now, and I start school in April, so I can't promise I'll be spitting out post after post. But I'm sure I can get myself to do one at least once a week, if not more depending on if my muse explodes out of me like I'm thinking it might. I miss rping sooo much.
As for the Grendel, I know Nat (Theodore) is awfully into the idea, and she's as active as any of us here. You can get with her, Tanner, see if you guys can get something going.

Yup, I'm up for some evil stuff if it gets the plot running more smoothly!

When I get a break, I'm throwing up a Rodo post in the Grendel party thread. ANDDDD, I'm willing to offer up Rodo as a Grendel leader if you need help, Tanner.

Hey (: I don't think we need a revamp either, but a new skin couldn't hurt. Maybe a brighter one? This one is pretty, but it's kind of dark, but not really dark at all... If you get my meaning... Anyways, I'm here too, but unforunately don't get home after school until six thirty, and wake up early. Another sucky thing is I must type everything on my iPod which takes FOREVER. I would like to start posting again, though. Maybe shorter to start out, but I'll most likely be back into the swing of things soon... Anyways, good to see you guys again! Especially since this is the first RP site I ever joined, and the only one I'm still a member of (:

I will start working on a brighter skin, since that seems to be the general consensus.
