Ten years after Kronos was defeated at Mt. Olympus, the city of the gods has been fully reconstructed by the now acclaimed architect, Annabeth Chase. In addition, thirteen new cabins have been added to Camp Half-Blood to accommodate the incoming demi-gods. The gods have held true to their oath to claim their children by the age of thirteen for a decade, but Percy Jackson’s granted wish has been far from upheld. While the minor gods have been honored on Earth and granted amnesty in Olympus, the major gods have failed to recognize them in debate.
After a few years, minor gods began to feel as though they were being bought off and given some trivial luxuries to blind them from their biggest desire – to be held equal to the Olympians. No one felt this stronger than the already wronged, Nemesis. Blaming Percy for her son Ethan’s untimely death, she has spent the last ten years trying everything in her power to take an eye for an eye. But his invincibility is an insignificant task in comparison to the oath she has sworn on the River Styx to have vengeance on the Olympians. She would see balance restored to power until the end of her existence.
But demi-gods are not the only ones to receive prophecies, and it has been three years since Rachel Elizabeth Dare, the Oracle of Delphi, uttered to the goddess of vengeance, balance, and justice that
To go against the kingdom of the sky, A half-blood of the sea god must die. With the last and final breath, Justice will rise from death. Fading to a state of eternal sleep, Your just reward you shall reap.
With allegiance from her fellow minor gods, Nemesis concludes that Percy Jackson must die to promote balance of power through anarchy. But that has been easier said than done, and dire measures have started to undertake…
Worry floods Camp Half-blood in the face of a growing rebellion of countless minor gods against the powerful Olympians. Monsters are attacking the camp like never before, for fear that the children of the gods shall rise up and take sides. But after Troy, a demi-god son of Apollo, disappears without a trace, seven half-bloods experience the same dreams of war in the Underworld. A calling to which they must answer. They’re not the only ones who are reminded that
Seven half-bloods shall answer the call. To storm or fire, the world must fall. An oath to keep with a final breath, And foes bear arms to the Doors of Death…
