In the past I've had threads where the players in the community could have discourse on the happenings of their lives. The threads have always been a place of fun and support for anyone who wanted to join in. In general we just be honest and tell each other about what is going on in our lives, like a shared blog. I'll open the dialogue then.  I am not sure how many of you know, but I am going to be getting married this summer. I've been engaged for about a year or so now, and with school ending in June, well, it just made sense to wait to get married until school was out. After the wedding, I will only have to do my wonderful job of moderating forums, which means that I will have a lot of time while I am online to make new skins for the site, post, and try and advertise a little. But as excited as I am for that, I still have to go through another 15 weeks of school, and get married, and go on a honeymoon. Soyeah, wanted to share.  |

So this is a good idea, why not continue Hannah's initiative? First of all, that sounds amazing! Have you set a date for the wedding and more importantly, what does your dress look like?  Not much is happening in my life atm. Well, that's not entirely true but the prospect of spending another summer working 24/7 kind of dulls my mood a bit. No sunshine for ol' Natty here. I'll just stay pale for another year -.- On a more serious note, I am attending an university now, and I am just finishing my 2nd semester. I wasn't going to post the name of my education because it makes no sense, not even in danish but here goes: Human Centered Informatics. Here's a description of the education, directly quoted from one of my professor's: "It's about communication.".. Ehh, thank you for those enlightening words of wisdom dear professor! However, confusing education aside, I do have some exciting news to tell you guys! For my 5th semester I am allowed to study abroad, and I plan to travel to none other than the fabled U.S.! I am not sure what university I'll be attending, because my own university keep messing the list up, but maybe the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. So.. Yay! |

We set a date about a year ago - we're getting married on July 24th. It's seven weeks away, which is a long time, but it feels like it's right around the corner! This is my dress: linky. I just took it to the seamstress to be hemmed to my exact measurements, and to have a bustle put in. Everyone keeps telling me it's so pretty, but I will have to wait to see me in it for really real with shoes and everything. I just graduated from uni... and let me say... I am so glad to be done! I don't envy you the amount of work you have ahead of you, and let me tell you, there is a ton of work ahead of you! That sounds like a really exciting career path though, and I wish you the best of luck in your pursuit of higher ejumacation! As for you coming to the US, that would be super cool! We will have to make plans to meet up for sure! |

Askdjf;kflag Hannah, the dress is gorgeous, and I can't wait to see pictures!
My life has basically been revolved around terrible health and exams so far this year. I'm not going to go into details of my health problems because it's super depressing, but still ill, and yeah, not fun. My last exam is Thursday, however, and I'll be freeeeeeeee afterwards, which is always good! I'm looking forward to being able to do things other than study. ^^ Sooo. Yeah. Fun times. >.>
But I miss you guys so much and it's lovely to see you again! <3

Congrats Hannah! That dress is beyond remarkable! I hope you feel better Liberty. Enjoy your Freshman year Theo (who I think is Nat?) because it fly's by when you don't want it to!
I'm Chole (call me Chu or Cho or whatever works for ya) and when I return to school in the fall I'll be a third year University student (American). I will also be applying for Nursing school this year, so I am so freaking nervous.
As for the summer, I am done with school. I also just got done with a trip to Italy and Greece. So I am stuck at home trying to find a job now.

Thanks about the dress! It's more or less what I had in my head... something very "Little Mermaid" ala memories of this: clicky. No one at the wedding dress shop seemed to remember what this looked like, or why I wanted my dress to be similar. The story is a little funny - when I was little, I loved the Little Mermaid. I would watch it over and over and over again; it was about a girl had a bad home life and hated it so much that she literally grew legs and walked away to lead a better life. For some reason, her first moments as a true human (which is the pic above) is one that has been imprinted in my brain for a long time. I became like the LM; I ran away from home as fast as I could, too! Anyway. ILY guys. I miss you. Let's rawk this place back into life! |
