General Description:
Ron has bright blue eyes the same color as the sky on a warm summer day, the same as his sister. His older brothers have a slightly different hue of blue, a bit darker, more like the color of bluebells, though really, the color is all the same. Ron tries to distinguish himself from his brothers, though, because he doesn't want to be seen as the one who came after Bill or Percy. His hair is also the renowned flaming red, which comes from both sides of his family. Not only does his mother possess flaming red hair, but so does his father and every person on the Weasley side of the family. Just his luck - to be instantly recognized where ever he goes. Oh well. Harry has a scar, Ron needs something too then, eh?
Pale skin is usually what Ron has, though he does turn a bright shade of red whenever he lies out in the sun too long or whenever Hermione speaks to him with that hint of gentleness in her voice that she does. There is a nice hint of freckles across his nose and cheeks, something else that pretty much everyone in his family has. Charlie was so fortunate enough to outgrow his freckles, though Ron doesn't have those hopes for himself. He is tall for an English boy, and he is proud that he towers over Fred and George, something they always held over him. Only recently has Ron grown out of his being thin and gangling, but he still has large cumbersome hands and feet, though now that he is taller it seems more proportionate.
Ron wears whatever is handy, which is usually hand-me-downs from his older brothers. This has proved quite embarrassing in the past, considering how shabby it always looked, despite how good of a mender his mum was. It wasn't until a few months ago that Ron gave in to Fred and George's demands and started working in their shop, mostly reproducing things and what have you, but they paid him well and he bought new clothes, something he had never actually had. He finds that he enjoys the more relaxed fashions, a pair of jeans and a tee suit him just fine. His favorite shoes are the ones he's had for a while now, a dingy pair of Converse shoes, bought by his father on an excursion to Muggle London. He wears a black hooded jacket when it gets cold out and he's not required to be in his robes.
Personality.
Likes && Dislikes:
Where to begin?! It is most likely that Ron dislikes more things than he likes, but then again, there are so many wonderful things to like!
There are trivial things that Ron likes - candy, flying on his broom, chasing Hermione around until she falls down giggling, as well as heavy rain showers, a cozy fire, and a good game of chess. He likes the ocean for holiday and the wind in his hair. The trivial dislikes are things like homework, rules, boundaries. Ron doesn't like, well, hates, spiders and other crawling bugs, live-risking adventures that aren't meant to save the world, and booger flavored Bertie Bott's Beans.
He likes his family, but at the same time, he dislikes his family. Well, perhaps not his family per se but more traits of his family. He hates being poor, even despite his fame, and he hates that his family has been and seems will always be shabby. It's embarrassing. But at the same time, he wouldn't change his family, save for bringing things back to the way they were before the war. He hates that Fred died, he hates that Bill is disfigured. He doesn't like Ginny running around making a ruckus with Harry, but he can deal.
He loves Hermione. He's loved her for a long time. It started as like, of course, and she irritated him to no end, but he wouldn't change a thing about her. He loves everything about her, from the way her nose crinkles when she is thinking to the way her mouth is crooked when she smiles. Her fuzzy hair, her orderly space, and even her constant nagging at him to change clothes for once... he loves every minute of it.
Interests && Hobbies:
Ron enjoys Quidditch, hanging out with Harry and Hermione when the world isn't in dire peril, playing Wizarding Chess, star gazing, and spending holidays at home.
Strengths:
Ron is very determined about the things he cares about, and won't stop until he knows that there is nothing more he can do. He would gladly lay down his life to aid his friends and family, and while some may see it as stupidity, Ron is just really that brave. He's not incredibly bright, but he's clever, and that is what tends to be Ron's saving grace when it comes to things. Even if you don't have all the answers, it's coming up with any kind of answer that will pass that is one of Ron's stronger points. Ron's a good talker, but an even better listener, and while he might seem miffed about the conversation, he will always hear out your side of the argument... unless he doesn't like you, then he doesn't want to give you the time of day. He also happens to be wicked good at playing Wizarding Chess.
Weaknesses:
For as great a friend as Ron can be, he has let his pride come between himself and his best and closest of friends more than once in the past. Even though he eventually sees the error of his ways, it simply proves that when Ron feels like he has been betrayed he cannot handle it. He feels that when your friends and family are all you really have, when one of them betrays you, it's like you're losing part of your world. If one of his best mates were to be severely hurt beyond help, Ron would probably lose it, especially if it were Hermione. His love of his friends can and has been used against him in the past, and for as much as one could try and over come it, it's simply something that can't be erased.
Secrets:
Ron is exceptional at Astronomy, and he secretly loves to sit up and watch the stars. It was the one class he actually paid attention to in school, and the one thing he wishes he could have continued to study. Of course, you don't need much astronomy as an Auror, so now he spends his free time studying the stars and planets.
Boggart:
Ron's boggart used to be spiders, and Ron's boggart continues to be spiders. They are just plain creepy and weird! How could they have been included in the overall plans when everything was made? What is their point other than to be scary and in your face?
Patronus:
Ron's Patronus is a Jack Russel terrier. It symbolizes his energy and spirit, and his deep-welled courage.
Overall Personality:
Ron Weasley is a bright and energetic fellow who loves his family, no matter what he might say. He is independent, assertive, friendly and very cheery (unless you've miffed him, since he's also kinda sensitive, he gets upset) and loves to talk. In fact, Ron just generally loves to be around people, and takes a great comfort in their presence, be they his family or friends. It can also be said that Ron is very sincere, that he says what he means. He loves giving encouraging speeches and is considered by his family to be slightly stubborn, which as crummy as it sounds is actually the trait that makes him such a good friend.
He is a quick thinker, even though he might seem slow or thick at times, but really, he is just lazy and wants to do whatever he wants, not what others tell him. And whoever said you have to actually use logic if you're a quick thinker, anyway (though he would mention his skill in Wizarding Chess as use of cool logic and cunning)? Yeah, he's not the brightest of students, but it's not from lack of brains, but from lack of effort, and Hermione could attest to it. Despite how he goes about things his own way, Ron is very creative and intuitive, and knows when to listen to his heart rather than his head. And while many may think that he is clumsy or careless, but it is quite the opposite. Ron cares very much about what he puts his mind to, be it fighting with Dumbledore's Army or playing Quidditch, and takes great care when performing those duties, so that things will turn out all right. He has ended up in the hospital more than once because of this care, but his bravery in those situations proved more memorable than anything else.
Ron's pride has gotten in the way of his friendships before. On more than one occasion he has found himself out of speaking terms with Harry, even though he dearly cares about his friend. His compassion is shown on nearly a daily basis, but in larger instances, he took over the appeal for Buckbeak's case when Hermione could not manage it with her course load. Ron supports those around him as best he knows how, helping with a pair of hands or a sympathetic ear. He can get very frustrated with being renowned for being poor, though he accepts it humbly when it is not being rubbed in his face. Obviously, he has only been able to take so much about his family and wealth and status, so now whenever he receives an insult he deals with the rage inside and then politely deals out comebacks.
Whatever Ron wants, Ron eventually gets. He is determined and goal-oriented, and not greedy or selfish (though he has had moments where he just wanted something for himself, being raised in such a large family and all). After all, he does consider himself pretty normal for a young adult, and pretty well-balanced considering his endeavors with Harry and Hermione. He is quite ambitious, and wants to obtain his dreams of being something important in the world, provided that the war fares in his favor. Above all, though, he needs the support of his family and friends to help him through these darker days.

Character History:
Ron was born to Arthur and Molly Weasley, the sixth and final boy in the Weasley family. By the time he was born, the Weasley family was already quite poor, having spent quite a lot of money on their five other sons, particularly the twins, who seemed even in their infancy to break many things. As he grew everything was a hand me down, even his toys, so Ron has had to give up on ever trying to have something nice from his family. In fact, right before he went to Hogwarts, he was deciding what he would be when he was older, and how much money he could make so that he would never have to have something that had already been owned by someone else before.
It would be difficult to summarize Ron's dealings at Hogwarts. His first year was difficult yet, but he also met Harry and Hermione (though he did not like Hermione for the beginning of the year. He was quite pleased, though, when she started going over his homework, his marks increased by double), fought a troll, and played a very wicked game of Wizards chess. His second year he flew to school and nearly got expelled, and was also whomped by the willow. That same year he ate slugs, drank polyjuice and turned into Goyle, following the bloody spiders and nearly died, and traveled through the Chamber of Secrets with Harry. The summer between his second and third year Ron and his family went to Egypt to visit Bill.
His third year, who could forget that? Dementors surrounded the school, DADA was taught by a werewolf, and he caught mauled, mind you, when Lupin was in his werewolf form. Not enough to cause changes like Bill, but even still, it was terrifying. And who would have thought that Scabbers had been the person who had gotten Harry's parents killed? If Ron had known that he would have let him drown so many times... That summer he went to the Quidditch World Cup, which was very exciting, and witnessed Victor Krum in action. (He would like to note that he did indeed save all his pocket money for the whole summer so that he would have money to spend at the Quidditch World Cup.) Harry started acting the ponce right about Halloween, and Ron refused to speak to him, but after the first task (which was amazing to watch) Ron decided that Harry didn't deserve all the rubbish that was being tossed at him and they made up.
That same year was the Yule Ball, which Ron was much too nervous to ask Hermione to, and instead ended up going with Padma. He upset Padma a great deal when he did not dance with her as much as he wanted, but how could he when he was sulking over Hermione dancing with Krum and enjoying herself? That evening began what still continues - an unspeakable fight about how they feel about each other. Later in the year Ron was put into a Bewitched Sleep and tossed to the bottom of the lake for Harry to save, which was fine, since Ron knew that Harry would save him, but it was the going to sleep and being asleep underwater for a long period of time that bothered Ron. Spiders aren't the only thing that bother Ron, but drowning happens to be something Ron is terrified of.
That summer Ron stayed at number 12 Grimmuald Place with his mother and father, since they had started up the Order again. He wasn't allowed to meetings, but he was forced clean real nice. He was most delighted when Hermione joined him, since having her there was quite a treat. It was quite surprising when he received his letter for Hogwarts, since he was made a Prefect. For this feat he receives a new broom, and much to his luck only a few weeks later he is placed as the new Keeper for the Gryffindor team. The DA started about that time and Ron got to know a lot of students who he had never noticed before, and found more powerful wizards and witches than he would have thought. This was also the year of Umbridge and her nonsense, and also a sad time for Ron. His brothers were kicked off the Quidditch team and then they left school, albeit in a fantastic fashion, but nevertheless his fifth year was lonely. At the end of it he and the rest of DA went to the Ministry of Magic and fought a great (and in Ron's mind epic) battle, in which Ron was wounded. He lived to fight the fight, but it was disheartening that he was not able to see Sirius before he fell behind the Veil.
The Second War began shortly thereafter, and Ron's life hasn't been the same since. His sixth year at school was bogged down by worries of Voldemort springing into the school and killing everyone, not to mention all the other junk that happened. Harry basically lied to him and gave him a false confidence, though though it was quite good at the time, and helped them win. That was the same day Ron and Lavender started dating, which obviously pissed off Hermione, since she started seeing Cormac McLaggen, who was the antithesis of Gryffindor courage, but rather brash and annoying. On his seventeenth birthday Ron will have it noted that he was rudely tricked and poisoned, and thanks to the quick thinking of Harry is still alive today. The rest of the year was relatively quiet for Ron, aside from studying and trying to stay in good graces with Hermione. When Harry was given detention Ginny proved herself as an able keeper, and Ron was very proud of her, but even more disturbed when Harry kissed her in front of him and the rest of Gryffindor.
The Battle at Hogwarts was something that Ron won't ever forget. It was lead by the inconceivable git Malfoy, and Ron and the rest of the Order fought valiantly to keep them out of the school. They won, but at the cost of a great life. Dumbledore's death sank like a stone in Ron's heart, and his devastation was shared by many. After the death of Dumbledore, Ron was quieter than ever. His internal reflection ate away at him, and he thought a lot about his life and his direction. The usual things to cheer him up, such as chocolate frogs, playing pranks, and playing chess, did nothing for him. It was all he could do for weeks to keep from crying.
[...]
Now, more than ever, he is dedicated to helping Harry find the final Horcruxes to rid the world of the vile evils that have touched so many lives, now including his own. He would gladly lay down his life if it meant that his family would be able to live in a world without fear and death.

Something Unique:
Role Playing Sample:
Ron was slumped in one of the biggest, squishiest armchairs next to the fire. His ruffled red hair was crumpled in his left hand, and his eyes were closed. He wasn't asleep, but far from it; it was only the first week of the term and he was already burned out. He had dueled Malfoy, nearly admitted to Hermione how much he loved her, and had a long heart-to-heart with Harry in the middle of the night. All that on top of classes and Quidditch and trying to find the final Horcruxes, Ron could only predict the rest of the year. It was going to be the nightmare of all nightmares, trying to live a normal life and yet try to defeat the Dark Lord all at once. He couldn't really put his mind to it, and that was why he sat alone in the shadows cast by the fire, the only source of light in the room.
It had to be one or two in the morning, at the least; Ron had wandered down from his dormitory around midnight because he couldn't sleep and found Harry and the invisibility cloak missing. No doubt Harry had gone back to the Room of Requirement, to sit in the room where his parents watched. Well, if nothing else, Ron hoped that Harry was sleeping well, with no dreams at all to bother him through the night. Recently bad dreams were all Harry seemed to have, and Ron was quite frankly sick and tired of waking up at various points in the night hearing cries coming from the draperies of Harry's bed. There was nothing Ron could do to make it go away, and that was what bothered him the most.
He sighed, letting the expansion of his breath fill the whole room. He seemed to feel a change in the warmth of the fire, and he pondered if his breath had done it. Slowly his eyes opened and he lifted his head from his hand, startled by the brightness of the fire. He slumped even further into his chair, until his chin was touching his chest and his bare feet were close to the fire, close enough that they were toasty. There was a half-filled mug next to him, filled with hot chocolate that Hermione had taught him to conjure, but that had long since gone cold. His wand was somewhere beside him, probably sunk into the cushions between himself and the arm. His hand patted around for it lazily, and he found it after a few more moments of trying. With a weak wave and a mumble of words he tapped the rim of the mug and it was full with steaming liquid again. There was another sigh that escaped his lips, and his eyes looked over at the glass, but he let his eyes wander back to the fire. There was so much on his mind that he couldn't think anymore, and he stared blankly at the fire.
As if from no where, his mind wandered to his second year, when he had stolen his Dad's car and smashed into the Whomping Willow (which had smashed him back shortly after). He and Harry had been in big trouble, but that was not stuck out so much in Ron's mind. He really only wanted to see his sister get sorted; he wanted to be there at the table for her when she was accepted into Gryffindor as he had. He had wanted to applaud the loudest and whistle loud; he wanted to show her how proud he was of her. Sure, through the years she had been a pill, but she was the closest sibling he had. Fred and George were no good, not that they weren't great brothers, but they were always playing pranks on Ron and after a while all he wanted was someone to play chess with and run around the yard with. Ginny had been there, even if she was quiet, and she didn't pull pranks on him or show him up with any stunts that he couldn't reproduce. He felt that it was his duty as the brother closest in age to her to protect her the fiercest, which he had tried wholeheartedly as she grew up. He found that the older she got the harder she was for him to protect, since she moved in different circles and made bigger and more tricky choices.
He would admit to anyone that he loved his family, but it was only to Ginny that he would admit to that she was his favorite person in the whole family. Bill and Charlie were alright, he couldn't be wrong there, when he was young they were home, but as he grew up they moved out, and then there was Percy, Fred and George. The younger of his brothers were just fine as well, but they were older enough than him to exclude him from a lot of their games, or made him the object of their games, or simply just picked him last and made fun of him the whole time. Ron did enjoy the time he spent with his brothers, no doubt, but he had always been there to play with Ginny, to include her in his make-believe stories about Muggles and the fantastic adventures they must have. He taught her the finer points of Quidditch, and he spent hours in her room reading to her, obliging her with a game of tea, playing with puppets and dolls and sometimes brushing her hair after her bath.
He remembered once when Ginny was very sick, and not even their mother's strongest remedies were working. Ron, then 7, had sat up with her and held her hand, stroked her sweaty hair and told her all the best made-up stories he had ever thought of, so that her mind would be off the feelings in her chest. He didn't know it then and still didn't know, but his mother and father had stood at the doorway, so happy and sad all at once, watching their sleeping children and the efforts that Ron was making to help his sister feel better. They had called a doctor in, to be sure, but they had Fred and George take Ron out of the house for this, so that he wouldn't worry about the things that the doctor had to do, the pain that Ginny had to endure to get over her pneumonia. When Ron had returned that day no one could say how happy he was to see her sitting up and smiling to see him, her fever broken and her breathing eased.
Ron's eyes flicked over the fire again, and he realized where he was sitting. His eyes were actually very warm, and his hand brushed over his face and he realized that he had been crying, at least, that his eyes were watering. He attributed the streaks on his face to having his eyes open too long, and he sat up quickly, brushing his face with the inside of his elbows. His back popped several times as he stretched and he settled back into the chair again, flicking his wand at the fire to make it grow from the embers. He hadn't realized how far away his mind had taken him from Hogwarts, how long ago he had just remembered, but he was quite glad for it, in fact, much more glad than when he had come down. He had a fantastic sister and a wonderful family, no matter what any stuck up snob had to say about it, and he wouldn't trade them for the world.
