LOVE the new pictures !! Rupert's facial expressions crack me up, seriously. It's like he's got a new one every time I see him. haha. I agree with you, Ari. Rupert's Ron is fantastic, really. I was just watching SS the other day, and it was like, "wow, is that the same person?" He really has matured Ron really well, from a little boy who's afraid of spiders to someone who's ready to help protect his family and friends in any way possible. I think Dan does a really good job, too, of making Harry stay in character, but not being some emo mope-around, like it could've been. Though, I have to disagree about Emma. I love her Hermione, just because she does a good job of being really clever, but not having in-your-face intelligence. Well, she was like that in the first two films, but I think the reason Hermione hasn't seemed like she's matured any is because she's a very, very sensible person to begin with, she just needs herself validated. I think while the boys were both very naive in the first few books/movies, Hermione was always the one who could sort out the consequences (maybe in an obnoxious way, haha). But, yeah. Gambon is quite honestly awful for me as Dumbledore. I loved the first guy, but he's just... not what I pictured at all. I imagine Dumbledore as kind of a grandfatherly guy, though someone who's very wise and kind of wacky. Gambon is like the grandpa who's always grumpy no matter what you do. He just doesn't seem like he had a very happy childhood, lmao. Oh well. Like I said before, I'll still be there at the first showing, because I really love the movies regardless. |
